My friend Amanda J. tagged me last night so I'm gonna play along . . .

We are supposed to post the 6th picture from the 6th folder in our photo files and then tag 6 more people and ask them to do the same.

Since my stuff is VERY unorganized ( I really gotta work on that . . . It drives Bob nuts when he looks at my mess!) and since the kids have their stuff on the computer too, it took me a little while to figure out what was MY 6 & 6. But here's what it came out to:

Me & my mom this past February at the Overlook on the way to Callaway Gardens . . .

She stopped in for just 1 day with my Aunt Kathy on their way to Key West. You can tell she's from the north ~ she's SOOOO white!

OK . . .now I'm gonna tag Sandy, Kelly, Kay, Deb, Joni, and Naoko!

A Fab Page!

OK . . .It's time to share with everyone the page I made awhile back with those BoBunny papers that I was so in love with!

I couldn't share it until now cuz I was asked to make a surprise birthday page for a dear friend.
She's turning 50 on April 1st (that's a cruel joke!) and one of her best friends was throwing her a surprise scrappin' weekend at Camp Crop-A-Lot with some friends.

Everyone attending will be making her a page or two for a birthday album. I'm not able to go (REALLY wish I could!) but I put together this page for her & ABSOLUTELY love the way it turned out!

Gotta have some girly stuff like the pink pearls & yummy stuff like the the cocktail ribbon:



Love the stick pin in the layered buttons . . . It adds a bit of glam!


I still had a naked spot too small, really, for another photo so I made an envelope with her Stickled-up monogram . . ..


And inside she'll find an old themed postage stamp and a penney . . . The year? 1959 of course!

My Faves

OK . . .so over at The Shoppe's Blog, there will be a challenge posted on Friday for everyone to scrap a page of their 5 Favorite Things of Spring that make them happy.

All of us Shoppe Girls have posted our own favorite things (to kind of give you all a little inspiration to scrap the everyday, little stuff you love).

I haven't had time to actually make a page yet (cuz this was a last-minute decision by the crazy store-owner), but never fear! I'll get there!

Anyway . . . here are (in no particular order) my 5 Favorite Happy Spring Things:

• The smell of wisteria hanging from the trees as I drive with my windows open.
• Birds chirping early in the morning . . .I mean really early ~ like daybreak!
• Warm, sunshine-filled L-O-N-G-E-R days ! . . .we love to sit on the deck in the evening.
  
• Going to the beach & laying in the sun ALL day long . . .I hate being white!
• Sleeping with the windows open during a gentle spring rain. . . . . . & thunderstorms!
  
• Tulips, Daffodils, & flowering Dogwood trees. . . .they're the 1st sign that winter is ending.
  
• The smell of hot dogs cooking on a charcoal grill. . . .Yum-o-la!
  
• Sitting by my pool with a glass a wine, listening to music from the good ole' days! (you know ~ the good stuff . . .like REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Madonna, Styx, Journey, Queen, Bon Jovi, THE BEE GEES! . . . oh boy - I'm showing my age).
  

Yeah, Yeah . . .. that's more than 5, but so what? I like what I like . . . and I could go on & on. But I'm stopping here.

Oh! Wait! How could I forget about Gardenia Season!

• #9 . . .The gardenia bushes at our house are all in FULL bloom by mid May & the aroma surrounding us is absolutely HEAVENLY ! (We've got more than 25 bushes mostly surrounding our pool . . .but my pride & joy stands over 8 feet tall! ~ that's after pruning it back! The blossoms last year measured 5 1/2 " across !)

I am SOOOOO happy about so many things when Spring gets here!

Cupcakes & Glitter

I decided to take some time for myself yesterday afternoon and threw together this layout of my daughter and neice taken last summer when we went home to Wisconsin to visit.

They were busy decorating cupcakes for a big family picnic later that day.

I used my Sizzix cupcake and ice cream die, rolled the bottom thru my paper crimper, and glittered up the icing top part.

Another thing I love using with ribbon on my pages , are colored staples. They not only give it extra sparkle & dimension, but hold the ends in place, as well.

And if you have girls, flowers and sparkly bling are always a requirement!
