2 - 22 - 92

That's a night 17 years ago that I will never forget! It's when Samantha ~ daughter #2 ~ joined our family!

She was 4 days late, but when she decided it was time to enter the world, she meant it!
Start to finish only took about 40 minutes . . .she was almost born in the car!

It was a good thing there weren't many cars on the streets of Ft. Lauderdale that night cuz Bob would have run them all over. The Dr. delivered her in his street clothes . . .he almost didn't get there in time himself!

Here's a layout I did for a class example about 7 yrs. ago using her first photos. I made myself use stickers on this (anyone who knows me knows that I hate stickers!)

It features a little taffeta bag - pink, of course - that holds our hospital bands.

And has a photo flap that lifts up for another photo of our beautiful baby girl . . .

She's even more beautiful today . . .
Here she is (on the right) with her best friend Karen . . . they're ALWAYS together!

Happy 17th Birthday, Honey!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone out there!
I hope yours is a nice as mine . . . .

This is what I woke up to this morning when I walked into my bathroom
to get ready for work . . .A thoughtful card:

Beautiful flowers:

And not 1, but 2 boxes of chocolates!

Now considering that we really don't ever do much for this holiday (for each other - the kids always get boxes of chocolates), this was a really, really nice surprise.

I love my my husband!

Wrong turned to Right

OK . . .so I was "cricut-ing" along with Geographically Speaking & needed a
2 -1/2" TOGETHER.
I still haven't figured out how to gauge that cartridge yet. It's backwards to me.

Well . . . I ended up with a 2-1/2" tall word but it was 11" long!
So here is what my mistake turned into!
A beautiful page of my neice & nephew's Christmas photo . . .

No matter how much I love the Cricut, it will never replace my good, ole', trusty Sizzix machine.
I used my Quickutz for the swirls and the scallop tag from Sizzix.

Of course a little sparkle was in order for a page this beautiful, so the finishing touch is a little bit of gold Stickles in the flowers.
Hope you get a little inspiration from this post . . . Have a great day!

More Valentine's

Here's another Valentine's Page I threw together today using a scrap from BoBunny's "Sweetie Pie" line. It's fast becoming my favorite!

I folded a poinsettia flower in half, tucked it under a photo matte, & added a couple of rhinestones.

This curvy border was created from my handy-dandy alpha punches . . . I used the lower-case "S" and connected them all together.

And of course I used my little Cricut for the words . . . Geographically Speaking.

Thanks for stopping by.
Stay tuned cuz I've got more on the way to share from BoBunny!

My Valentine's Page

I actually took some time & made a page for myself today . . .Of course, it'll be hanging at The Shoppe for awhile as a sample page. But then it's mine!

I love the new BoBunny papers that we got in called "Sweetie Pie", so to work I went. This is the result a short time later . . .

I used my Zip E Mate die for the hinges & added rhinestones as the nailheads . . .

And lately I've been making tons of these layered flowers with my Sizzix die.

As my title, I cut out this cute phrase from Cricut's Geographically Speaking. . . .I *LOVE* my little bug!

1 page down . . . 20,000 more to go!

If you like these papers, go check out The Shoppe's Blog from yesterday . . .we used more Sweetie Pie to cover giant Hershey Chocolate Bars!
