More Valentine's

Here's another Valentine's Page I threw together today using a scrap from BoBunny's "Sweetie Pie" line. It's fast becoming my favorite!

I folded a poinsettia flower in half, tucked it under a photo matte, & added a couple of rhinestones.

This curvy border was created from my handy-dandy alpha punches . . . I used the lower-case "S" and connected them all together.

And of course I used my little Cricut for the words . . . Geographically Speaking.

Thanks for stopping by.
Stay tuned cuz I've got more on the way to share from BoBunny!

My Valentine's Page

I actually took some time & made a page for myself today . . .Of course, it'll be hanging at The Shoppe for awhile as a sample page. But then it's mine!

I love the new BoBunny papers that we got in called "Sweetie Pie", so to work I went. This is the result a short time later . . .

I used my Zip E Mate die for the hinges & added rhinestones as the nailheads . . .

And lately I've been making tons of these layered flowers with my Sizzix die.

As my title, I cut out this cute phrase from Cricut's Geographically Speaking. . . .I *LOVE* my little bug!

1 page down . . . 20,000 more to go!

If you like these papers, go check out The Shoppe's Blog from yesterday . . .we used more Sweetie Pie to cover giant Hershey Chocolate Bars!

S.Y.S.

Save Your Stuff!

Well, I suppose if you're reading scrappy blogs, you probably already know that rule . . don't throw anything away!

For my Valentine's layout here, I used old playing cards that were missing 1/2 the deck.
I stamped on them & embossed them with gold metallic powder.
(if you want to really see the details, just click on the photos!)

I used a King & Queen and the 4 of Hearts represents my four kids.

I did alot of distressing on this page, from painting, sanding, & tearing the matboard frame to tearing the paper and smudging it with gold metallic rubs and dabbing some red ink on the cards.

And considering that I made this layout 8 yrs. ago, this was alot!

I love gold ~ gold anything~ so there's tons of it on this page . . . gold photo corners on the cards, gold wire twisted & looped around, a tiny gold picture hanger on the frame, a gold heart charm & their initials on the small individual photos, and more smudged embossing all around the page's edge.

Last but not least, I added the "LOVE" Page Stone ~ just because.

So . . remember not to throw out those odds and ends. You never know when they might come in handy!
